A zipper by the meter is a zipper sold by the meter, allowing the user to choose the exact length needed. It is often used for larger projects such as tents, jackets, bags, and other sewing projects where standard zipper lengths may not be suitable.
The zipper can be sewn closed at the bottom or a zipper stop can be added. To install the slider, buy a zipper 1–2 cm longer than needed. Cut one side of the zipper 0.5 cm shorter. First, attach the slider to the longer end, then pull it onto the shorter side.
